Coffee Bay- Dunpo

We came across a little gem of a place.  Its a chain, but I have only seen 1 other store on the back side of AK plaza.
 Coffee Bay.

You are taking the 45 away from Pyeongtaek. Its the exit, road directly after the 12, don't go over the bridge for you will have gone too far.
Take that exit after 12 and go straight, continue straight as you get into the little town. Coffee Bay will be on the left after the first main intersection.

They have mini honey bread, (plain and choco)
See photo below.

My phone was out of battery, so I will update this post with more photos when its charged.
Below is a photo of what we had.

Insadong- Minto Community coffee

On our week vacation in Insadong, we went to several coffee shops. The following 3 entries are from that time.
Mintos Coffee House
 Outside entrance stairway down.

They had booths labeled different things. We ended up sitting in Long Suffering.

I had an ice lemon tea. Was ok, nothing amazing.

The hubs got some cheese cake which he loved!

These are some booths cleverly decorated

more tea! Peppermint.

Directions: If you come out of Insadong main street by the big decorated wall, you will keep going straight till you come to a main big street. You make a right. Take that main street about 3 blocks and on the right you will see a stairway down. That is Mintos!

Iris- Pyeongtaek

Cafe Iris!
This is a cute little Gem of a place, although its loud which is unusual.
If you travel from AK on the ring finger street and turn at the Art Box, you will see Iris which is located on the second floor.

I did not take photos of the drinks which is so unlike me, but I don't remember them being amazing.
So this review will be lacking on a few items cause my old brain can't remember. If you have been here email me your drink photos and I will add them.

Cafe- the Corner- Pyeongtaek

If you travel on the ring finger from the right hand standing at AK plaza, you will come to 7eleven on the left. Make a left, and then take the first right. At the T intersection you will run right into it.
It literally is on the corner of the street.

We went in on our day off, well, we were scouting out a place to bring a group of ladies.
This place had just opened up and still was doing some decorating. They were super nice, and accommodating. We made a reservation for later in the month and also they had a frequent buyers card that you can put your name on and hang on the wall.

They give you a little bread to eat.
This is an Americano and a Cappuccino.

3 out of 5 coffee beans.
They didn't have honey bread or cream cheese pretzels but had muffins and cookies.

Ro.M. Coffee- Paenseong, South Korea

Ro. M Coffee- Outside the Humphreys Walkin gate. Across from the new seoul clinic on the left side. I believe its fairly new, prices are comparable to that of other coffee shops. Its a 2 story place and its accessible to those without cars, and close to base. I could tell the baristas were fairly new, as it took 4 of them to make 1 drink.
When i walked in they were talking among themselves and it took them about 4-5 minutes to acknowledge me even though at that time I was the only one there.
Everything was in Korean and English and was easy to understand. They have the typical coffee house items minus honey break and cream cheese pretzels. I had a Green Tea Latte which I thought was average. Only thing is the stairs to upstairs are EXTREMELY steep.

Rating  3-5 coffee beans.

If you have photos of your drinks please email them to me, and I will add them on here.

Kaffe- Paengseong South Korea

Today I ventured out in Paengseong, South Korea and tried a place that others have been saying was good coffee and cheaper than most. So, I set out to taste for myself.

I was the only person when I entered as the owner was out front smoking. He rushed in and started helping me out. He saw I was not a Korean, and slid a piece of paper that had English words on the menu. It also had prices which helped!
I ordered my standard Green Tea Latte. It was a great drink, not grainy as some are.  I have heard the Americano's are wonderful as well. Next time I will try a cappuccino and add it to this post. OR I will go with someone who will have one and will photo what they got!

The cafe has lots of room, and a spot for big groups!

out the main gate, turn right at the post office, (across from Not a Fan Pork Cutlet)
travel maybe 1 block, it will be on the left, tucked back under some apartments.

Another readers review:
See more HERE
This cafe is straight out the drive thru gate, turn right at the light where the Korean post office and "I'm your fan" is located. At the first real road about a block down, turn LEFT. I have had an americano there. It is hard to mess them up  My kids ordered an ice cream dish to share that had fruit on it. The dessert was very tasty and cost 3,500 won. Two family members ordered Bubble Tea but they were NOT impressed. I was happy to find a neat option for coffee locally, but I doubt I will go back. The park across the street makes for a neat place to hang out with the kids. There is a C+U practically next door where you can buy inexpensive ice creams for the kids while you enjoy a coffee. The seating in this cafe is terrific. There is even a HUGE U shaped booth for groups. The menu is totally in Korean and the staff speaks very little English. They do serve food meals at this place, but I did not try any of it

Time to play catch up!

I have not forgotten the blog, just have been busy! So I am adding more tonight!
There are many new places! I can't wait to share my experiences with you!

Iris Coffee,
Cafe Lato
Corner Cafe!
Coffee Bay (Dunpo)

Enjoy the musings this coffee fan! I still don't drink caffeine which still makes happy! I did stock up on decaf coffee while in the states!
