Ann's Coffee and Beer Doll House - CLOSED SUMMER OF 2014

So today after having a 2 day migraine from allergies and puffy eyes, I met my hubby (who traveled to Seoul today) in Pyeongtaek for another experience. We were quite excited about trying this place as it was in some videos when I was searching. Although the videos showed a different place, I think it moved into the place its at now. There is another place where ann's use to be. That is typical with these coffee places as I have run into that a few times already.

 Here's what you see when you walk in.

When we traveled up the stairs, there were lots of school students who started to practice their English on us. Was cute, and interesting at the same time. We talked back and they giggled. 

The hostess lady showed us to a booth thing, behind lace and picket fences.

We were amazed at the space of the place. Wow, could fit about 6 people in it, and there would be plenty of space. There is a little button (similar to Japan when you are ready you press it) on the table, after we looked over the menu, and figured out what we wanted we pressed it, actually pressed it 3 times. The lady who came was super nice, and we did the usual point and smile and laugh cause we all didn't understand each other.  There was a bit of confusion as some of the things were not available so she motioned for another lady to come and help. 

We ordered: 

Blueberry Latte, Mintchoco frappaccino, 

Cheese French Fries, and a cone pizza combo.

Cone pizza combo (microwaved- started to get hard at the end), 

with (below photo) sweet sweet ice tea.

Mixed fries with a cheese spread thing on top. The topping was interesting a really good with a sweet potato after taste.  The food was good, and the conversation was amazing as always. 

Life on life, and who better than my amazing hubby! I love you babe!

Overall feeling of the place:

6 out of 10 coffee beans. 

Although the place was cute, it felt dingy with the lace needing cleaning, and the graffiti on the walls. 

I think a fresh coat of paint would liven it up, and bring it back to its glory days. 

It wasn't our favorite place as of yet, which I was bummed cause I saw lots of videos from the place.

I would try it again, but prefer other places. 

Directions: 

standing away from Pyeongtaek station, right hand up, walk down the ring finger street and take the second left. Walk one blockish thing, and make another left it will be on the right. Its a bright pink sign.

Coffee On (CLOSED)

This place was so cute, I had to take Megan to start out our adventure today. Once again, it didn't fail. It proved itself again to be a favorite. This time we tried something different.

Affogato ( ice cream with espresso poured over it)

So I was excited to try this delightful creation. Megan had vanilla ice cream, with 2 espresso shots, and I had Green tea with 2 espresso shots.  I wasn't sure how the green tea would taste, but YUM!  I was pleased with the outcome!  Hm, wonder what I will try next. 

Jester's Pie's and Coffee

OK, this place was well, not what we thought. As we looked at the sign which boats of great pies from Australia and coffee. It was well, nothing to write about, which I wonder why I am writing.  But, the company was amazing!! :)

My first warning was when Megan ordered and I saw them take a package from the fridge and open it up and stick it in the microwave. Ah, clue 1.

I ordered from the menu on the wall, and at first he charged me double, and when questioned, he asked his supervisor who spoke English and she said we were out of what I ordered, (what did he charge me for?) so she led me to the menu I could order from.

So we finally ordered, and I ordered a chicken Cabinara and Megan order Beef and Cheese.

When we started eating, Megan noticed hers was FROZEN.  She got up and told them and they put it back in the oven.  Mine was ok, although  it was not cooked as the dough was raw and I tasted the ingredients of the dough. Bummer.

There was however a cute little wishing tree. I am not sure what for, but it was cute.

This was the last place we went for the day. Company was great, food not so good. We just chalk it up to an experience. 

Coffee House-(CLOSED 2014)

Coffee house was our second place. We spotted it as we were across the street. In the windows on the second floor there were books upon books in shelves in the window. It looked promising, so we ventured on in. Walking up to the place, we had chalk wall art that lined the walls and steps. It was a super fun way to invite you in to the atmosphere.

After stopping and admiring the view, we entered in to the wooden paradise. The door was naturally distressed, and had a Saloon door feel, but when you walk in, you are in anything but a saloon.

This was the little menu that was on the short table in our little nook. It was all in Hangul, but we had already ordered at the counter. The lady who we ordered with came and took her shoes off before she delivered out goodies. 

The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. 

There were chalk drawings of figures like Obama, John Lennon, and Marilyn Monroe. 

It was inviting for great conversation. Megan and I did just that. Life, and what the Lord was teaching.  Putting into words what the Lord is doing is a great testimony, and you never know how it will be used. I gleaned much from Megan. This is one of the reasons I love coffee houses. It invites great conversation and life on life interactions.

Our drinks, Iced Vanilla Latte, and Iced Latte. Both were yummy, but the drinks were switched at first.
The foam was excellent, and coffee good too. the Vanilla Latte was sweet and yummy. (Megan's drink)

This was the nook we sat in. We were on the left, on the floor pillows. The burlap bags were attached with glue or staples to wood and hung on the wall.

Here we are!!! already to head out again for the hunt.

facing away from the Pyeongtaek station, hold up your right hand, and travel down the ring finger street. This place is on the left at the light. Look at the second floor level and look for the entrance which is on the left of the lower level store.
