#1 Story Coffee House.

Today we had to go into the Pyeongtaek to get a few things, so we decided to stop off at a place we had seen thru the window of Cafe Muse.  I had envisioned a Hello Kitty atmosphere type of place but was pleasantly surprised at what we saw. It was clean, cozy and inviting.

The host didn't speak any English, but we just pointed at the menu. To our surprise a basket of bread, and a package of pizza snacks came to the table.   A while later our drinks came. They were great as usual.

Our surprise that came!

 A mirror, photo time!

The hostess station is a big cup like stand.

The menu comes as a big picture frame. Fun!

I ordered something (just pointed) and Dan ordered a hot chocolate.
Both were super good, and tasty.

A booth in the back of the cafe
Dan took a photo in the bathroom.

They had a call button as well, that you just pushed when you were ready.

So my review, 8 out of 10 coffee beans is my rating.

directions: if you get to Cafe muse, its directly across the street.

Please comment-

Cafe Muse

Hidden in the 2nd floor of this Pyeongtaek building is a little gem of a place called Cafe Muse. It boasts of Italian espresso and drinks. From the outside it looks like fun, and you can see glimpses of a relaxing atmosphere, but when you wander up nothing can prepare you for what you see.
Entering the second floor you are confronted right away with a glass door golden entrance. When you open the doors, you see Gold as far as the eye can see. Everything is in gold.

This place as not at all like Ann's dark and dingy place, but boasts of a rich and lush atmosphere.
A gentleman approaches you and leads you to a little cubbie of which is hidden behind lush gold fabric. Inside you see 2 cute little couches, and a dark wooden table. There are no other decorations on the wall, just gold everywhere. A difference from all the other places that have the little decor items everywhere.

The workers leaves you with a menu, (none of it is in English) and then when you are ready you push a button, just like at Ann's. We looked over the menu and tried to translate it using our translate, but to no avail, didn't work. So we pushed the button and asked for a cappuccino one hot and one cold.

The flavor was rich and lush. Cinnamon was coated the top of them, with great foam. I had to get up and go to the front as ask for some sugar, in which they gave me a shot of liquid sugar syrup. That hit the spot, and did the trick. Ah, so we sat back, relaxed and started to dream about youth ministry.
God really met us there as we dreamed, and we are excited about where He is leading. Woot woot!

Overall this place was very neat, and clean. Even the bathrooms were golden with a common wash area. Very relaxing, and very quiet.

9 out of 10 coffee beans!!!

Directions:
standing away from the Pyeongtaek trains station hold up right hand, walk down the ring finger street. Take the first left (at the art box store) and you will see it straight ahead on the right. Yellow sign.
Enjoy!!!

Ann's Coffee and Beer Doll House - CLOSED SUMMER OF 2014

So today after having a 2 day migraine from allergies and puffy eyes, I met my hubby (who traveled to Seoul today) in Pyeongtaek for another experience. We were quite excited about trying this place as it was in some videos when I was searching. Although the videos showed a different place, I think it moved into the place its at now. There is another place where ann's use to be. That is typical with these coffee places as I have run into that a few times already.

Here's what you see when you walk in.

When we traveled up the stairs, there were lots of school students who started to practice their English on us. Was cute, and interesting at the same time. We talked back and they giggled.
The hostess lady showed us to a booth thing, behind lace and picket fences.

We were amazed at the space of the place. Wow, could fit about 6 people in it, and there would be plenty of space. There is a little button (similar to Japan when you are ready you press it) on the table, after we looked over the menu, and figured out what we wanted we pressed it, actually pressed it 3 times. The lady who came was super nice, and we did the usual point and smile and laugh cause we all didn't understand each other.  There was a bit of confusion as some of the things were not available so she motioned for another lady to come and help.
We ordered:
Blueberry Latte, Mintchoco frappaccino,
Cheese French Fries, and a cone pizza combo.

Blueberry Latte

Dan's mintchoco frappaccino

Cone pizza combo (microwaved- started to get hard at the end),
with (below photo) sweet sweet ice tea.

Mixed fries with a cheese spread thing on top. The topping was interesting a really good with a sweet potato after taste.  The food was good, and the conversation was amazing as always.
Life on life, and who better than my amazing hubby! I love you babe!

Overall feeling of the place:
6 out of 10 coffee beans.

Although the place was cute, it felt dingy with the lace needing cleaning, and the graffiti on the walls.
I think a fresh coat of paint would liven it up, and bring it back to its glory days.
It wasn't our favorite place as of yet, which I was bummed cause I saw lots of videos from the place.
I would try it again, but prefer other places.

Directions:
standing away from Pyeongtaek station, right hand up, walk down the ring finger street and take the second left. Walk one blockish thing, and make another left it will be on the right. Its a bright pink sign.
Would love to hear what you thought of it.
