Ro.M. Coffee- Paenseong, South Korea

Ro. M Coffee- Outside the Humphreys Walkin gate. Across from the new seoul clinic on the left side. I believe its fairly new, prices are comparable to that of other coffee shops. Its a 2 story place and its accessible to those without cars, and close to base. I could tell the baristas were fairly new, as it took 4 of them to make 1 drink.
When i walked in they were talking among themselves and it took them about 4-5 minutes to acknowledge me even though at that time I was the only one there.
Everything was in Korean and English and was easy to understand. They have the typical coffee house items minus honey break and cream cheese pretzels. I had a Green Tea Latte which I thought was average. Only thing is the stairs to upstairs are EXTREMELY steep.

Rating  3-5 coffee beans.

If you have photos of your drinks please email them to me, and I will add them on here.

Kaffe- Paengseong South Korea

Today I ventured out in Paengseong, South Korea and tried a place that others have been saying was good coffee and cheaper than most. So, I set out to taste for myself.

I was the only person when I entered as the owner was out front smoking. He rushed in and started helping me out. He saw I was not a Korean, and slid a piece of paper that had English words on the menu. It also had prices which helped!
I ordered my standard Green Tea Latte. It was a great drink, not grainy as some are.  I have heard the Americano's are wonderful as well. Next time I will try a cappuccino and add it to this post. OR I will go with someone who will have one and will photo what they got!

The cafe has lots of room, and a spot for big groups!

Directions:
out the main gate, turn right at the post office, (across from Not a Fan Pork Cutlet)
travel maybe 1 block, it will be on the left, tucked back under some apartments.

Enjoy!

This cafe is straight out the drive thru gate, turn right at the light where the Korean post office and "I'm your fan" is located. At the first real road about a block down, turn LEFT. I have had an americano there. It is hard to mess them up  My kids ordered an ice cream dish to share that had fruit on it. The dessert was very tasty and cost 3,500 won. Two family members ordered Bubble Tea but they were NOT impressed. I was happy to find a neat option for coffee locally, but I doubt I will go back. The park across the street makes for a neat place to hang out with the kids. There is a C+U practically next door where you can buy inexpensive ice creams for the kids while you enjoy a coffee. The seating in this cafe is terrific. There is even a HUGE U shaped booth for groups. The menu is totally in Korean and the staff speaks very little English. They do serve food meals at this place, but I did not try any of it

Time to play catch up!

I have not forgotten the blog, just have been busy! So I am adding more tonight!
There are many new places! I can't wait to share my experiences with you!

why I stopped Caffeine

Yes, I gave up Coffee. Well caffeinated coffee that is. Why you ask? Well at first it was a miscommunication from the doc but then I realised I had needed to stop it for a long time. So I went cold turkey.  Second, I was super anxious and my muscles and body was in stress overload. I knew this couldn't hurt at least. My muscles were super tight and had a stress herpes thing happening. I knew it was time for a change. Also I didn't want to be dependent on anything but the Lord.  The only bummer is I really enjoy the taste of it. So I will at some point give myself grace and have a taste once in a while, but the benefits far out way my love for the taste.  As I am also a Diabetic, it has done amazing things to help my blood sugar numbers. Stress and diabetes not a good thing. Since my body was in a state of stress overload, it effects everything about my system. I am so glad that I have stopped coffee.

But, I still enjoy my coffee houses. I realised there are so many other things on the menu too!
This means I will still review coffee houses around Korea...

Pioneer woman's iced coffee (easy cold brew method)

So here is the link to Ree Drummond's, The pioneer woman, iced coffee brew. This is similar to Dutch coffee brew. A dutch coffee brew comes with a fancy glass pitcher and brew system. I might have to try Ree's method too. Enjoy the link. Drink coffee and discuss who is God to you with a friend.

As always I am here trying new methods, and adventuring to new places. I am up for partners in crime in this endeavour come and join me.
