why I stopped Caffeine

Yes, I gave up Coffee. Well caffeinated coffee that is. Why you ask? Well at first it was a miscommunication from the doc but then I realised I had needed to stop it for a long time. So I went cold turkey.  Second, I was super anxious and my muscles and body was in stress overload. I knew this couldn't hurt at least. My muscles were super tight and had a stress herpes thing happening. I knew it was time for a change. Also I didn't want to be dependent on anything but the Lord.  The only bummer is I really enjoy the taste of it. So I will at some point give myself grace and have a taste once in a while, but the benefits far out way my love for the taste.  As I am also a Diabetic, it has done amazing things to help my blood sugar numbers. Stress and diabetes not a good thing. Since my body was in a state of stress overload, it effects everything about my system. I am so glad that I have stopped coffee.

But, I still enjoy my coffee houses. I realised there are so many other things on the menu too!
This means I will still review coffee houses around Korea...

Pioneer woman's iced coffee (easy cold brew method)

So here is the link to Ree Drummond's, The pioneer woman, iced coffee brew. This is similar to Dutch coffee brew. A dutch coffee brew comes with a fancy glass pitcher and brew system. I might have to try Ree's method too. Enjoy the link. Drink coffee and discuss who is God to you with a friend.

TeaTalk

We left for an adventure to seek out this teahouse. It was not a tea house, but rather a coffee house. It did have some tea, but mostly coffee drinks. The atmosphere was pretty nice, although the smoking room was bigger than the regular room.  We sat in the window, on the floor with amazing cushions under our bums.

I ordered a Ice Cappuccino (surprise surprise) 

and Megan ordered a Vanilla Latte. 

Both were amazing, and after he brought the drinks, he brought us this amazing bread. So good, and it comes with a homemade whipped cream to dip in.

Directions: 

take the ring finger road with your right hand when you face away from AK plaza. You will make a left  at the first street and follow that until you see TeaTalk. Its on the 2nd floor.

Basically its on the road that connects the middle finger road and the ring finger road.

Rating: 

8 out of 10 coffee beans.

I would recommend it, as a place to try.

Bao Dutch Coffee

Upon combing downtown Pyeongtaek South Korea looking for fun coffee houses, (a few people and I) came across Bao Dutch Coffee.  Since its in the main area and a main street we were excited. We tried going into it yesterday, but alas, it wasn't open. So tonight the Hubs and I had our weekly date night. One thing we love to do, is adventure to new coffee houses in South Korea. Tonight was no exception and we tried Bao Dutch Coffee that just opened. This time, the cafe was open and we got pumped. 

Walking in you see cement directly in front of you, but then when you walk further in, you come into a place that is industrial yet quirky. 

There are private cubbies around the outside perimeter of the the room, and tall purple like love seats on the next perimeter and then on the inside perimeter was table and chairs.  We sat in the love seats so we could see the counter and watch and observe. We also were taking notes for another secret project. 

Don't forget to remove your shoes before entering.

We ordered our standard which is an iced cappuccino and a hot one and also a honey bread. I was excited to see my cup which had many markings of measurements on it, and lots of foam on top. Dan's drink was just as delightful as there was a thick layer of foam on his as well. The honey bread, was something totally different, and was amazing. This place served it with ice cream which Dan gobbled up. 

I found out this place makes its own dutch coffee, and also has an education part to it. I will be checking it out online, and will update you on it. This place was clean, fun, artsy, simple, atmospheric and great. The menu was in Hangul, but he understood basic English. Prices were a bit high, but the quality was amazing.

Hold up your right hand standing away from AK plaza. Travel on the ring finger. Bao dutch will be on the left. It is right before the ARTBOX store. Take the door and travel downstairs.
